Presented without commercials, Jazz Tonight delivers a rich, lush tapestry of jazz spanning seven decades. From icons like Ellington, Ella, Monk and Miles to today’s luminaries such as Wynton Marsalis, Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau and Diana Krall, you’ll feel the almost hypnotic, one-of-a-kind vibe available only on Jazz Tonight. Laid-back, intimate and sensual, we’re here to take you on a journey through the greatest jazz recordings the world has to offer.
Hosted by acclaimed media personality Ray White, you’re in good hands. Ray grew up around jazz when his father played artists like Ahmad Jamal and Abbey Lincoln. He went on to work in a jazz record shop in Hartford, Connecticut followed by a career hosting shows at some of the top radio stations in New York and San Francisco. A warm, easy-going musicologist, Ray White provides just the right amount of insight and color to make the music-intensive Jazz Tonight program a must-listen destination for dinner parties, a romantic evening, studying or reading your new favorite novel.
Set the mood weeknights from 7 PM to Midnight (ET/PT) with Ray White’s Jazz Tonight exclusively on The Jazz Groove.
